I ws saddened to hear about Mike's death; I know Kay had posted that she and Jerry were on their way to be with him just prior to his death, so know they are grieving for him and the whole family; He will be missed; Our prayers continue to be with his family;

Mike was truly a great friend and we had so many good, fun ... AND sometimes "mischievous" times.  We gave his car, affectionally called "the Blue Max," a true test for being a well-constructed vehicle. I was so happy to get in touch with him about 4 years prior to his passing, after me moving away from Texas to go to college in Tennessee after Cooper graduation.  Mike was instrumental in helping me make my time in Abilene and Cooper HS the BEST of times...then, and ever since.  The times that Mike, me, J. Redford, D.Wood, B. Rule, B. Hailey, and others had after our swim team meets and after going out with our dates on weekends will never be forgotten, but probably should be.  Nancy Trinkner, Ginger W. and just a few others may have an idea, but we'll let that go for now.  Thank you, Mike, for blessing my life and memories so much.  I join so many others in saying we miss you.  Rest in peace, my friend and buddy.

Was with mike when he had the blue max painted. We went rabbit hunting one nite on the Madison football field at full speed. Returned home with a strange noise on the driveway. Drive shaft was dragging and had to be replaced by my brother. Mike and I had many good times in our first combo at 14 years old.miss him dearly!

I can remember Mike and several of us used to zip around and speed thru the drainage dips and see how high we could go. I remember that one time there were 4 of us and all of Mikes crap when we were over in north Abilene by Lee Elementary and did a high speed dip jump. Bummer was a cop was watching. He pulled us over and asked Mike if he realized that there was daylight under a 4 wheels. I can't remember who all were in the car

Yup David, I well remember that!!!  And a lot of other really crazy (aka dumb) things we did. Lots of great memories. Am pretty sure Radford was with us...maybe John Alsup, Billy Rule, Barry Hailey and/or Danny Wood. What I vividly remember is that I thought we were going to get buried under the jail.
