I knew him as "Frankie"....from age 3 or 4, and we were always neighbors...lived within a block of him all our lives in Abilene.   His dad was in the automobile business..so Frankie was always driving something cool...from GTO's to Vette's.  He had a constant cool demeanor and countenance.

He was not supposed to live past the 9th grade...he fought a winning battle against nephritis.... was in Dallas for months, in the hands and care of a slew of doctors.  But he made it !!!  I do think it took a toll on his health, though.  He died way, way too early.

Frankie was a good person, and his death makes us scratch our heads...why??  Rest In Peace dear friend.  See you someday....you and 'Trader' save me a good deal on a Corvette, will ya' ???

Yep, Frankie was cool and laid back. A Good Fella, especially because he would "loan" out cars on his dad's lot to other fellows come Sat. night, with the stipulation to have it back in it's spot before daylight Sunday. One car in particular I remember, a white "63 Vette Coupe. It sold before my turn came to "borrow" it. Dang it!
