Peggy, my prayers go out to you and your family in the loss of Gary.  What a truly kind, gentle, Christian man.  I have so many memories of growing up with Gary at Belmont, watching him play football at Cooper and watching him pitch a baseball.  He was one of the best ever!  I especially remember his mom getting so nervous she would have to leave the stands and go sit in the car when baseball games would get really tight.  But Gary was as calm and cool as he could be.  I always looked forward to seeing the two of you at the Cooper Reunions.  Still hope you will be able to come this summer.  So sorry I couldn't make it to any of the services but I had commitments I was unable to get out of.  Please know I was thinking of you and praying for you.  God's peace and blessings to you...Lynn Rouse Oglesby

Dear Oakley Family,

I just got on the Cooper HS reunion site recently and saw that Gary has passed away.  I am so sorry for your loss.

"Forever" I sat between Gary and Nancy Oglesby - in class and on the football field at graduation.

Gary was one of the good guys!  He grew up to be a really good man, too, I see, and know you miss him every day.
