Dwayne Roberson 66, longtime Abilene resident passed away in his home on Sunday, July 12,2015 under the care of Hendrick Hospice Care.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene with Brother Robert Chambers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6 to 8 pm at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Dwayne was born on November 4, 1948 in Abilene, Texas to Alma & Marion Roberson. He was a member of the Southwest Park Baptist Church while growing up and later became a member of Second Baptist Church here in Abilene. He was a loving husband and father along with being an avid hunter and fisherman. He adored his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his loving wife Patsy Ann of Abilene, his brother Larry Roberson and wife Dana of Brownwood, two sons Ricky Roberson and wife Kerri of Houston, Keith Russell and wife Kim of Albany along with several nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Alma & Marion Roberson, 1 son Kirk Russell of Tyler, Texas along with his maternal and paternal grandparents.
