Mark, Claudia, Joe, and Carl! WOW! What a great job all of you have done and contine to do to keep us updated.
Joe, you are the ultimate fearless leader -- always in the know, and taking care of the littlest details. SO appreciated by all of us!
Mark, the website is terrific!! Like you, I hope many more will at least log on, and let everyone know where they are -- never know, a CHS friend may be just around the corner. It was great seeing you in Dallas.
Claudia - the photos are great!! Can not believe you got all those names with the right pics! That is a big help --- I hope you had a great time at the reunion, and weren't strapped to a camera all night.--
And, Carl -- great job on the money handling!! Any left? Buy yourself a beer!!

For all that missed the Dallas reunion --- it was fun! I think all of us feel blessed to have grown up and be a part of CHS. Best to all!!

I also want to join in and thank Mark, Joe, Carl and Claudia for all you did for the class reunion. Nobody gets paid for planning these thing except in appreciation. For a brief time, we made time stand still and reflected on our youth spent in Abilene. We shared a lot of laughs and I thank you for the opportunity to be with friends from long ago.

Woo Hoo! I finally figured out shutterfly and have now posted my pictures from the reunion. You can see them at http://cooperreunion2009.shutterfly.com

You can't even imagine what an accomplishment this is for me so I hope everyone enjoys the pics. Hopefully I got all names correct. I think I missed a couple of people. Sorry...my brain is fried after trying to remember so many people last weekend...I had to dig waaaaaaaay back into the old memory bank. Boy, did I have fun though. CHS people are the greatest and thanks for making me feel so welcome after being going for so very long. The reunion was a hoot and for those of you who missed it or who have never been to one, I highly recommend it. You will not feel alone for even a minute. Hugs to everyone...make it a good May 2009!

I think I am finally rested. How old am I getting. It took me a week to get over last week-end. I had a great time seeing every one of you, and meeting your spouses. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting all of this together. Love the picture of the pink cookies. Claudia, I asked you to use a smaller lens when taking my picture. Couldn't you find it? Can't wait until the next get together. It needs to be on the beach in FL.

Mark: This website is absolutely great. I was not able to attend last weekend (even though I live here in the Metroplex) but the website does allow for me to go back a day or two in time. It is so good to see pictures of so many of the CHS classmates, many of which I have not seen since graduation. Your hard work is very much appreciated and I know everyone must appreciate Joe, Deborah, Claudia and all the others that helped make the reunion a great one. Thanks

The latest link included some other special memories to the side. There was a link to a memorial to Jack Mildren and Mr. Halloday (sp?) at the 1968 breakfast.
Mark, thanks for helping us to access all these links to special memories. Some of these people were our friends and some we may not have known so well during high school but now can get to know. It breaks down barriers that may have been there for various reasons. It is helpful to hear how it felt to be in High school and beyond. We may be able to make a differece to just one person who knows.....

What's up with my eyes closed in EVERY picture? As Carl Gardner so politely put it...I obviously have a FLASH BULB ALLERGY going on. Either that or I was having so much fun, I didn't get much sleep, so I tried for a quick snooze every opportunity I could get...

Yes, we are very fortunate that our shindig wasn't this past weekend...I'm afraid I would still be at the airport trying to get a plane out of Texas to Utah! Hope all is well with everyone.

Claudia, well said...

Mark,
What a great job you have done with the website. I am a iPhone app developer and I know how much time it takes to keep this going. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,

The feelings that come out after a reunion are hard to explain. So much time has gone by and yet we are all in this thing together. Whether you have kept up with friends or not, we are all transported back to a special time that formed part of who we are today. Music sometimes hits a common thread. I suggest that you listen to Seal's newest CD: "Soul." I think you will hear some songs that we can connect with. Let me know what you think. God bless....

Mark, you have done a great job on this website. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I have enjoyed it so much. I would love to hear from everyone who knew me. It really makes you realize how old we are really getting and how memories mean so much now. It is so good to go back in time and remember all the wonderful people I knew in high school (also, elementary and junior high). This website has been a wonderful experience for me. Hope everyone has a wonderful summer and maybe I can make it to the next get together. Best wishes to everyone.

Super awesome, Mark! I just found the site today. The old '67 mugshot of me looks better on the monitor than it did in the Talisman! No mirrors in the room, so no broken glass to clean up-lol!

Sure enjoying hoofing down memory lane. Job well done.

I never went pro like some of the drummer boys in our class, but had a little group consisting of me on drums, lower classmen Roger Duck on rhythm guitar, Vic Bell on lead, and fellow senior grad, Bill Allen on bass. We used to play the sap out of this one I'm nailing up by Sandy Nelson. I haven't contacted his pal Charles Long in a while to see how Sandy's doing. Maybe in a bit. I played drums into my 40's til my ears went bad, then had to quit. Anyhow... here's "Wipeout"...

Subject: Wife In Hospital ~

I've not been on for some time due partly to the fact that my wife, Barbara, has been in Abilene Regional Medical Center since early November. We are nearly into week six of this exhausting visit. It is looking questionable about our being home for Christmas at this point.

They have finally pinned down a diagnosis of lupus nephritis, which has caused kidney failure. Hers is one very complex case. I am typing this from her room as I have been doing all internet communication from this room on a lap top since coming here.

She has been on dialysis for about two weeks, with hopes and prayers that the chemo consisting of Cytoxan will rejuvenate the kidneys to work again. This drug has helped many with lupus, to do much better, and in many cases, to totally eradicate or put this menacing malady into remission.

Thanks to all who read this, and say a prayer for Barb.
From Abilene Regional Medical Center,
Wayne "Tony" Rogers

Dearest Ones,

I want to thank you for all the prayers for my sweet Barb. Jesus called her home Friday, December 18th between the hours of 8:00p.m. and 9:00. I can't begin to describe the pain, hurt and void I feel. I wonder how I will get through the coming future. Only God can help me do this. She was the only marriage for me, and I was her first as well. Neither of us had ever married before, and married later life. Had we made it to January 20th, we would have had 14 years of happiness together.

Her memorial will be Tue. December 22 at 2:00p.m. at Hamil Family Funeral Home on Buffalo Gap Rd. The obituary is online on their site.

My life, my very heart feels gone now. She was my life, my very reason for wanting to be alive. No sweet little hand to reach out for. I reach for her in bed, she is not there.

She is my angel watching down on me now until I can be with her again.

Thanks to all for your prayers. They mean so very much.

Wayne

The sadness, hurt, pain and tears continue. Barb would have been 66 years old today. Our 14th anniversary would have been January 20th. I just continue my walk past happy memories on this hurting grief road.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PUDDIN'!

I know she is having a happy one with Jesus today.

I just read the tribute to Jack. I just want to say what a loss. During the time that he was Lt. Gov. of OK I had a need to call him and ask a favor for my little town in OK. Not only did he remember me but took my call immediately. He was a good man and will be missed.

Thanks to everyone who attened our 45th Re-U-Nite this past weekend.  It was a great success.  I was pleased with every event, and the turnout.  Ray and Janet, you are the best.  The GBW is allways good.  I am sorry we didn't see more classmates, that live right here in Abilene.  They don't know what they missed.   I'm going to start on our 50th.  I have 5 years to find everyone, so don't try to hide from me.  Thanks once again.

What a kick seeing everyone again!  Can't think of any way to improve the next one, thanks to all of you who did so much to arrange it.  Just sorry I didn't have enough time to visit with everyone at each event.  Again, LOVED my time this weekend!  Looking so forward to the next one!

Thanks to Eileen, Ray and Janet for making this past weekend such a success.  It was so great to see and visit with many of you who I have not seen in many, many years.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and I can't wait for the 50th!  Mark, thanks for taking photos, and can't wait to see them.  Just can't say thanks enough to everyone who made this happen.

It doesn't get any better than this last weekend for a Reunion.  I truly believe that each person who attended came away with a very positive experience.

Thanks to Eileen for her loads and loads of work.  She is the master at 'gettin' it done.  Mark Radzinski is a true hero of the class.  He coordinates this class web site...which means that almost every day he is helping somebody with a password or something.  Mark does it lovingly, and with a passion to help every classmate.  Ray and Janet deserve a standing ovation !!  One classmate said, "It was such fun to be in a home, and not a hotel !!" It made me realize how true that was...it helped to create the party atmosphere.  So, Thank You, Ray and Janet !!  You helped make this the best reunion I have ever had !!!

The Best and Blessings to all classmates, the ones who were able to come, and the ones who provided the leadership to make the event all it was.

What a great time we all had and it was super to see all you guys. Some from the first grade to senior year was awesome. I have not been up two nights in row until 130am in a lot of years, good to know I can still handle that. Thank you Mark for this website and all the work you do for us. Joe, you are the best and man do you put on a good show for us all. Thanks to my wonderful wife for all the hard work she put in getting this ready. The next day after it was all over she is looking for ways to find more of us and get a plan going for the next event. Everyone keep this site updated and if you find someone that is not don't quit until they sign up. Looking forward to seeing more there at the next one.

Where to begin? Many thanks and much love to Mark, Eileen, and Joe for their continuing efforts and hard work keeping us all informed and being the glue to bond us. Thanks to Ray and Janet for opening their beautiful homes for us to gather and enjoy old and new friends, to Wayland, Cheryl, Larry, Toni, Charlie Cathy, Joe, Steve and all the people that work so hard to bring us Woodstock and all the music. If you didn't have fun it was your own fault. There are those that can't come and those that won't, and to those that won't, you can kiss my ass...........db : )
